How to Apply?
Eligibility criteria include:
Being a full professor with a Ph.D. from a recognized HEC university, with at least 20 years of experience, including 10 years in administrative, financial, or academic positions such as Vice Chancellor, Rector, or Dean.
Alternatively, a BPS-21 cadre officer with a Master's Degree from an HEC-recognized university is eligible.
Candidates with a Master's degree, preferably a Ph.D., and 15 years of experience in academia, research, or management leadership, along with a strong publication record (minimum 10 publications in HEC-recognized journals), are also eligible.
The maximum age limit for applicants is 62 years on the last date of application.
Cadre officers selected as Vice Chancellor will need to resign or retire from their respective cadre service.
Responsibilities of the Vice Chancellor include:
Promoting quality education.
Fostering research and development projects.
Establishing national and international collaborations.
Developing sustainable business models.
Gathering and analyzing data for policy-making.
Required skills include analytical and critical thinking, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, along with understanding financial matters.
