Eligibility Criteria
1. Term and Appointment:
The Vice-Chancellor will be appointed by the Chief Minister based on the Search Committee's recommendations, for a term of four years, extendable by another term as approved by the Chief Minister.
The selection process will align with the Search Committee rules of 2022.
2. Qualifications and Experience:
A Ph.D. from an HEC-recognized university or institution in a relevant field.
Eligibility to be a full professor with at least 20 years of experience, including experience in a university or degree-awarding college as a Vice-Chancellor, Rector, President, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, or equivalent position.
10 years of administrative, financial, and educational experience in BPS-21 or equivalent positions in a recognized national or international institution.
3. Additional Requirements:
Preference for candidates with a Master's degree, preferably an MD, in a relevant field with 15 years of experience in culture, intellectual thought, civil society research, or administrative leadership.
A strong record of research and publications (minimum 10 in HEC-recognized journals).
Applicants must be under 62 years of age on the last date for application submission.
Government employees must obtain prior approval from their respective departments.
