How to Apply?
Eligibility Criteria:
Academic Qualification and Experience:
A Ph.D. in Veterinary/Animal Sciences or Basic Sciences or equivalent, as per HEC criteria.
Minimum 20 years of experience, including 10 years in administrative, financial, or academic roles at the level of Vice-Chancellor, Rector, President, Dean, Chairman, Registrar, or Principal, or at BPS-17 or equivalent in a reputable organization.
Registration with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council.
Alternative Eligibility:
Cadre officer of BPS-21 or above with a DVM degree and Master's from an HEC-recognized institution.
Master's degree (preferably Ph.D.) with 15 years of experience in academia, research, or management leadership, and a distinguished research and publication record (at least 10 publications in HEC-recognized journals).
Age Limit: Not more than 62 years on the last date of application.
For Civil Servants: Must resign or seek retirement upon selection as Vice-Chancellor.
Responsibilities of Vice-Chancellor:
Promote quality education.
Promote research and development projects.
Establish national and international linkages.
Plan a sustainable business model.
Gather and analyze data for policy-making.
Job Skills:
Analytical and critical thinking skills.
Exceptional written, spoken, and presentation skills.
Strong ability to collect, differentiate, and analyze data.
Understanding of financial matters and budget mechanisms.
