Advertisement for Recruitment of Driver Constables
In addition to the vacant posts of Driver Constables (BPS-5) in the Police Department, applications are invited from Azad Kashmir residents, including Mohajireen 1947 of Pakistan and Mohajireen 1989, for the recruitment of Constables (BPS-7) in the Rangers (Reserved seats for districts) on a purely merit basis as per prevailing rules, to meet the urgent needs of the department. Applications must be received by 22-08-2025. Applications received after the due date or incomplete applications will be rejected. Interested candidates for recruitment in the Police Department should submit their applications to the office of SP/SSP, while those interested in recruitment in the Rangers should submit their applications to the office of SP Headquarters.

Important Instructions:
- Educational certificates, domicile certificate, identity card, driving license, original physical fitness certificate, and three passport-sized photographs (attested by a gazetted officer) must be attached with the application.
- Candidates must appear on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 09:00 AM at the respective district headquarters (where the application for recruitment was submitted) with their original documents. Their original documents will be verified and physical measurements will be taken by the committees formed at the district level. Candidates who meet the required standards will undergo a one-mile run (in seven minutes) and physical test after the document verification.
- Successful candidates in the initial stage will undergo a driving test. The SPs concerned will inform the successful candidates about the place and date of the written test. Candidates meeting the required standards in the written test will be called for an interview in the third stage. Appointments will be made on merit against the available vacancies.
- If a candidate is involved in any criminal case, has been convicted in a case, or does not have security clearance, they will be ineligible for employment, even if they have been appointed.
- The advertised posts may be increased or decreased.
- Candidates appearing for recruitment will not be entitled to TA/DA.
- Deputy Inspector General of Police Headquarters, Azad Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir Muzaffarabad.
