Vacancy Announcement

The Ministry of Commerce invites applications from qualified and motivated professionals to join its research team, dedicated to enhancing Pakistan's trade and economic performance. As part of our mission to develop evidence-based policies and strategies, we are offering exciting opportunities for the following position:

Research Associate (2) (Category-III)	- Masters or equivalent (16 years of education) in Economics, Public Policy, International Trade, International Development or any relevant social sciences discipline. - Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience. - At least one (1) publication in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals, books or book chapters and/or conference proceedings. Required Skills: - Expertise in handling data using Advanced Excel techniques. - Strong writing and analytical skills. - Experience in data cleaning and handling micro datasets. Desirable Skills: - Experience in Power BI, Stata, or Python/R, etc.	Maximum 35 Years (on the date of advertisement)

Application Instructions

i. The Application Form can be filled in directly through the application portal available on the website of the Ministry of Commerce (https://careers.commerce.gov.pk).
ii. Application on the prescribed format shall be submitted "ONLY" through the "Online Application Form" available at MoC's Job Portal within 15 days from the date of advertisement. Also include the relevant publications that best demonstrate your qualifications for the role.
iii. Attested copies of CNIC, a detailed CV, along with the printout of the online submitted Application Form should also reach the following address within fifteen (15) days of publication of the advertisement.
iv. Successful candidates will be offered market-competitive salaries. The appointment will be made on a contract basis, initially for a period of one (1) year, further extendable based on performance.
v. Incomplete applications and those received after the closing date will not be entertained. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the interview.
vi. Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline will be rejected.
vii. In the case of a government servant, an NOC from the present employer is mandatory at the time of application submission.
