VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad, offers a challenging opportunity for employment as the Chairperson in the Pakistan Climate Change Authority, a corporate body working under the Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination, Islamabad. The Chairperson shall be a scientist, academician, professional, serving or retired government servant, industrialist, agriculturist, or other technocrat with at least ten (10) years' experience in fields related to climate change and the environment, with a distinguished service record.

Qualification: PhD or Master's degree holder in Climate Change, Environment, Finance, Management Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Law/Policy, or other degrees relevant to Climate Change & Environment.

Disqualification:
No person shall be eligible for appointment as Chairperson who:
a) has been dismissed, removed, or compulsorily retired from service as a consequence of disciplinary proceedings;
b) has been convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction for an offence involving moral turpitude or corruption and/or;
c) is a beneficiary of the National Reconciliation Ordinance, 2007 (LX of 2007).
Civil Servants/Government Servants may, subject to eligibility, apply for this position through proper channel. Their applications will be dealt with in accordance with terms and conditions incorporated in the Special Professional Pay Scale Policy.
Persons employed under SPPS Scales shall submit to the Government an affidavit declaring their non-involvement in any other relevant business/job, which may be tantamount to a conflict of interest.
