Positions and Qualifications

01. Anesthesia

• Position: Chairman / Chairperson, Department of Anesthesia

• Requirements: MBBS or equivalent recognized by PM&DC, higher qualification in the relevant specialty/subspecialty, at least 7 years of experience in a reputable institution after obtaining the qualification. Evidence of scholarly activities/publications and teaching is required. Eligibility per KP-MTI Selection Criteria.

02. Psychiatry

• Position: Chairman / Chairperson, Department of Psychiatry

• Requirements: MBBS or equivalent recognized by PM&DC, higher qualification in the relevant specialty/subspecialty, at least 7 years of experience after higher qualification. Evidence of scholarly activities/publications and teaching required. Eligibility per KP-MTI Selection Criteria.

03. Ophthalmology

• Position: Chairman / Chairperson, Department of Ophthalmology

• Requirements: MBBS or equivalent recognized by PM&DC, higher qualification in the relevant specialty/subspecialty, at least 7 years of experience after higher qualification. Evidence of scholarly activities/publications and teaching required. Eligibility per KP-MTI Selection Criteria.

04. Surgical & Allied

• Position: Chairman / Chairperson, Department of Ophthalmology (Note: Text appears to repeat Ophthalmology under Surgical & Allied)

• Requirements: Same as Serial No. 03.

05. Adult Intensive Care

• Position: Instructor / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor

• Requirements: MBBS or equivalent recognized by PM&DC; higher diploma in the relevant specialty (FCPS, MRCP, FRCS, American Board Certification, or equivalent); eligibility per KP-MTI criteria. Candidates for Instructor must have cleared the Fellowship Examination in Intensive Care Medicine or equivalent.

06. Pediatric Intensive Care

• Position: Instructor / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor

• Requirements: MBBS or equivalent recognized by PM&DC; higher diploma in the relevant specialty (FCPS, MRCP, FRCS, American Board); eligibility per KP-MTI criteria. Candidates for Instructor must have cleared the Fellowship Examination in Intensive Care Medicine or equivalent.

07. Thoracic Surgery

• Position: Instructor / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor

• Requirements: MBBS or equivalent recognized by PM&DC; higher diploma in Plastic Surgery or Thoracic Surgery (FCPS, FRCS, American Board); eligibility per KP-MTI criteria. Candidates for Instructor must have cleared the Fellowship Examination in Thoracic Surgery or equivalent.

08. Plastic Surgery

• Position: Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor

• Requirements: MBBS or equivalent recognized by PM&DC; higher diploma in Plastic Surgery (FCPS, FRCS, American Board); eligibility per KP-MTI criteria.

09. Anesthesia

• Position: Instructor / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor

• Requirements: MBBS or equivalent recognized by PM&DC; higher diploma in Plastic Surgery or Anesthesia (FCPS, American Board); eligibility per KP-MTI criteria. Candidates for Instructor must have cleared the Fellowship Examination in Anesthesia or equivalent.

10. General Medicine

• Position: Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor

• Requirements: MBBS or equivalent recognized by PM&DC; higher diploma in General Medicine (FCPS, MRCP, American Board); eligibility per KP-MTI criteria.

11. Health Professions Education (HPE)

• Positions & Requirements:
  • Demonstrator / Instructor: MBBS with MHPE qualification recognized by PM&DC. Preference for candidates with interest/exposure to HPE / Medical Education.
  • Assistant Professor: MBBS with M.Phil / MHPE / Medical Education or equivalent recognized by HEC/PM&DC, along with relevant teaching experience.
  • Associate Professor / Professor: MBBS with PhD or equivalent recognized by HEC/PM&DC, with teaching experience, research publications, and eligibility per PM&DC/KP-MTI criteria. Preference for leadership and research experience.

12. Biostatistics

• Position: Staff Grade Biostatistician

• Requirements: PhD in Biostatistics or equivalent recognized by HEC with 1 year relevant experience, OR M.Phil/M.Sc in Biostatistics with 5 years relevant experience in a reputable organization.

13. Infectious Disease Specialist

• Position: Instructor / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor

• Requirements: MBBS or equivalent recognized by PM&DC; higher diploma in Infectious Diseases (FCPS, FRCP, CCT, American Board); eligibility per KP-MTI criteria. Candidates for Instructor must have cleared the Fellowship Examination in Infectious Diseases or equivalent.

14. Research

• Position: Research Officer

• Requirements: MBBS or equivalent registered with PM&DC/PMC, OR M.Phil/Master's degree in a health-related field. At least 2 years post-qualification experience as a Research Officer. Scholarly activities (publications, impact factor journals, grant-funded academic work) will be an added advantage.

General Instructions

• Service will be governed by the rules and regulations of the institution under the Medical Teaching Institution Reform Act, 2015.

• Applications must be accompanied by a covering letter and a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), including email addresses and contact numbers of three referees, sent through a registered courier service by 29.07.2026. Incomplete or hand-submitted applications will not be entertained.

• Candidates serving as civil servants or in any other government/autonomous institution will be required to resign from their previous post if selected.
