Position: Shift Control Engineer

Qualifications

• BS Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics.

Eligibility Criteria

• Experience: Minimum 03 years of experience in power plant operations.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of plant systems (generators, turbines, GIS, Power Transformers, EDGs) through both automated and manual operation.
• Skills: Experience in controlling plant operations via SCADA, recording data, and handling declarations (DAC/RDAC and PTW).
• Safety: Must be well-versed in safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (e.g., LOTO procedures).

Main Duties

• Supervise, monitor, and operate the complex via SCADA reliably and efficiently.
• Maintain liaison with grid stations (132kV Dadyal & Kotli) for switching operations and plant status.
• Assist the Shift Charge Engineer during emergencies and system restorations (blackouts).
• Identify and report plant defects to the maintenance department.
• Prepare daily operational logs and reports (generation, tripping, DIR/IIR) for NPCC.
• Ensure operations remain within technical limits as per SOP/PPA.
