The Institute of Space Technology (IST), Islamabad, invites applications for Faculty posts (Lecturer / Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor) and Lab posts (Lab Engineer / Lab Associate and Technician-I / Lab Assistant). These positions are available on a Basic Pay Scales (BPS) Contract, Equivalent to Basic Pay Scales (EBPS) Contract, and IST's Faculty Pay Scales (FPS) Contract in specializations/fields relevant to the following academic departments:
- Aeronautics and Astronautics (Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering)
- Materials Science & Engineering (including Biotechnology and Chemistry)
- Space Science (including Physics)
- Computing (including Computer Science and related specializations / fields)
- Applied Mathematics & Statistics

- Recognized Degrees: Qualifications must be from well-reputed universities recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), or National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), as applicable.
- Foreign Degrees: Equivalence certificates from HEC and Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) are mandatory for foreign qualifications.
- Location: All posts are Islamabad-based. Interviews and presentations will be conducted at IST, Islamabad only.
- Age Limit: Age will be calculated on the closing date of applications. Government rules apply for age relaxation.
- Exclusions: Employees on Leave Preparatory to Retirement (LPR) are not eligible to apply.
- No Deputation: Serving government, semi-government, or autonomous body employees will not be appointed on deputation or Extraordinary Leave (EOL). They must resign if selected.
- Application Limit: Candidates can apply for only one post.
- Submission Method: Incomplete applications or those sent via email without attested photocopies of academic documents and experience certificates will not be considered.
