Position
Chief Internal Auditor
How to Apply?
Skills and Responsibilities
Manage the internal audit function at FESCO.
Evaluate accounting, financial, credit, and other operational activities.
Review and appraise the soundness and adequacy of accounting, financial, and operational controls.
Formulate and implement internal audit programs.
Prepare reports, observations, comments, and recommendations.
Develop a team of competent subordinates.
Undertake special investigations.
Liaise with external auditors and government auditors.
Communicate and ensure the implementation of board decisions and policies.
Qualifications and Experience
Membership of a recognized body of professional accountants (CA/CPA/ACMA/ACCA/MBA Finance).
At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 4 years in senior management in audit and risk management.
Experience designing internal control procedures and ensuring compliance in the public/private sector.
Understanding of governance, risks, and controls, especially in state-owned enterprises.
Remuneration and Tenure
Market-based competitive salary package.
The position is contract-based, initially for 3 years with a 6-month probation period, extendable based on performance.
The contract service is not regularized or pensionable.
Age Limit
Maximum age of 57 years as of the closing date.
