- REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
- 1. Must qualify criteria for appointment as Chief Executive of a Public Sector Company as defined in
- Public Sector Companies (Appointment of Chief Executive) Regulations, 2019 of SECP, including
- competence, capability, personal and financial integrity.
- 2. Possesses the relevant competence, experience and ability to understand the technical
- requirements of the business, the inherent risks and the management processes required to perform the
- role effectively.
- 3. Exhibit the sectorial and organizational awareness, understanding of the role of the government as a
- key shareholder and knowledge of the statutory responsibilities of a chief executive.
- 4. Delivered success in corporate organizations, proven capability for a wide respective on issues,
- preferably operating in national/international and multi-cultural environment.
- 5. Must have strong business, operational and financial acumen,
- 6. Must Have:
- a. Possess a graduate degree (16 years of education) from a well-reputed institute or such other
- professional qualification relating to the principal line of business of the public sector company, including
- manufacturing, mining, engineering, or any other field commensurate to the job, or
- b. Beamember of a recognized body of professional accountants, or
- c. Be a recognized businessman or professional with a postgraduate degree in business administration
- or public administration or finance or commerce or marketing or equivalent:
- 7. Must possess demonstrated experience of not less than 15 (fifteen) years:
- 1. in governance or business administration or public administration or finance or commerce or
- marketing or any other field commensurate to the job in significant organizations with a commercial
- orientation, or
- as chief executive or at a senior management level in similar organizations that have commercial
- attribules, or
- at senior positions in relevant professional areas including, inter-alia, manufacturing, mining,
- engineering, finance, law, business, etc..or
- 8. Minimum Age & Maximum age limit: 40 to 50 years.
- PAY PACKAGE AND FACILITIES
- The Selected candidate will be offered a 01 (one) year contractual appointment.
