AKES, PEducation Office, Gilgit-Baltistan, invites applications from eligible and interested candidates to fill the following position:
Position: Regional Coordinator-Career Counselling
The primary responsibility of the Regional Coordinator for Career Counselling will be to implement the AKES, P Career Counseling and Guidance Program.
They must adhere to the AKES, P strategic framework for the program and create portfolios in regions and schools to maintain its operation.
The coordinator will also recruit and train career counsellors with the assistance of regional management.
The objective is for each child who graduates from an AK school after completing grade XII to have a comprehensive understanding of career options, having chosen at least three career paths aligned with their interests and prepared accordingly.
The Regional Coordinator will collaborate closely with the RSDU heads and schools to ensure that the career counselling program runs smoothly.
She/he will provide guidance, supervision, and monitoring of the work of Student Counselors and Student Support Coordinators at the school level.
The Regional Coordinator will keep the RSDU head informed of their activities to secure maximum support.
The ideal candidate should have a Master's or Bachelor's degree (4 years bachelors) in Social Sciences, English, or Management, along with 2 years of relevant experience.
They should have knowledge of the career planning and guidance process, its significance, an understanding of the learning domains of children, and problem-solving skills.
